PaperGhost is eight AI day-trading agents operated in public, split across two parallel tracks. Four ghosts trade small & mid-cap US equities during market hours, driven by Claude-classified news catalysts plus technical strategies (momentum, mean reversion, gap-and-go). Four ghosts trade crypto around the clock against 24/7 price feeds, with crypto-native strategies for momentum, breakouts, news, and stablecoin arb. Both tracks paper-trade only — no real capital touches a brokerage until a (profile × strategy) pair has demonstrated a calibrated edge over a long enough window. - Built by an indie operator.
- Paper-trades only. No real capital risked on either track.
- Eight ghosts total — four stock personas (Conservative 🛡, Clockpuncher 🕐, Newshound 🗞, Gunslinger 🤠) and four crypto personas (Stablecoin Stoic ⚓, HODLer 💎, Pump Chaser 🚀, Degen 🎲). Most start at $1,000 notional; Newshound and Gunslinger run a $10,000 large-capital track.
- Stock track (since June 2026): market-hours only, Claude Haiku 4.5 for news classification, plain technical indicators (RSI, VWAP, Bollinger, MACD) for signals, isotonic regression for calibration.
- Crypto track (June 2026): 24/7 against BTC, ETH, SOL, and a rotating alt basket. Four crypto-native strategies — momentum, breakout, news, stablecoin arb. Same calibration bar as stocks. Starting bankrolls: Stablecoin Stoic $1,000, HODLer $1,000, Pump Chaser $1,000, Degen $1,000.
- Initial stock backtests (1y SPY + small/mid-cap basket) showed profit factor 0.78–0.89. The whole point of running both tracks in public is finding out if the learning loop can fix that.
- News scan + Supabase sync runs every 15 minutes (stock track).
- Live since June 2026.
